Biography |
Wendy Hamlin (Canadian, b. 1952) was born in Quebec City, Quebec. She received a BFA from the University of British Columbia in 1978. While working in Vancouver, her work was often displayed at the Diane Farris Gallery. Visits to the Okanagan Valley produced a series of panoramic landscapes of the Interior's dry terrain, punctuated with colourful wildflowers and cacti. Her artistic practice includes painting, drawing, and experimenting with various materials in two-dimensional frames. Hamblin relocated to Naramata, where she lives and works. |
