Biography |
Bill Bragg (Canadian, b. 1937) was born in Chatham, Ontario. He studied at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto, focusing on drawing, painting, and printmaking, and graduated in 1960. Bragg became well known for working in the Canadian museums field, having worked at the National Gallery and the Canadian Museums Association. In 1986, he moved to the Okanagan to focus on his painting practice. Bragg's oil paintings are warm, romantic, and spiritual. While his works veer towards abstraction, they often return to gestural figures formed by palette knife strokes. His works are found in collections throughout Canada and the United States. |
